Richmond, British Columbia is a foodie heaven! Nestled along the coast of the Fraser River, and part of the Vancouver metro area, Richmond is the fourth largest city in British Columbia. One of the best ways to see Richmond BC is through your tummy! Check out some of my favorite & delicious eats in our short 48 hour stay in Richmond!
Richmond BC has a large population of Chinese residents making the Chinese restaurants and dim sum super abundant. The dim sum was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had, dare I say, even the best in North America!? Fisherman’s Terrace is located inside the largest Chinese mall in North America, Aberdeen Centre, where the dim sum is made fresh to order. It is also one of the few Chinese restaurants that takes reservations! However, don’t expect to be seated on time, but at least you don’t have to wait in the long line with those who didn’t have reservations!

This s’mores bubble waffle is just as good as it looks! I’m a boba tea fiend so this cafe was amazing. I would highly recommend checking out this place for desserts and bubble tea!

One of my favorite things to do while in Asia was going to the outdoor food markets and vendors. I love how Richmond BC has their own version with over 200 retailers and over 500 food items.
Richmond Night Market is definitely a great place to spend an evening eating up all the delicious food and especially the desserts. I was definitely on sugar overload!
Matcha Ice Cream with Condensed Milk AKA #MATCHATALKINGABAO at Bao Bar Sweets
Raindrop Cake/Water Cake – TOO pretty to eat!
Golden Village is an area of Richmond full of shops and restaurants. There are over 200 restaurants in “Food Street”, which only spans 3 blocks.
Richmond was cooler than expected in June so a hot bowl of ramen was perfect! Get the takoyaki (octopus balls) as an appetizer!

Another great place to find some cheap and quick eats is the
Aberdeen Centre food court. There are lots of food options from congee, noodles, Chinese, Japanese, & Korean. Don’t forget desserts such as Beard Papa’s cream puffs and the bubble waffles and refreshing drinks from Bubble Waffle Cafe. The only thing is most of the shops are CASH only!

July 4, 2017 at 11:36 PMhaha, they actually don’t have much taste itself. There was a peanut topping and sugar syrup that gave it some flavor. Its definitely interesting, but the water cake itself doesn’t have much flavor!
