We were beyond excited about our first trip to Santorini, Greece. Its been on our bucket list forever to see the classic blue domes and the beauty that oozes from Santorini.
Our most favorite adventure in Santorini was the sunset cruise we did with Santorini Sailing Center. It was such a fun experience to sail around the island and see the different beaches and swim in the hot springs!
We cruised on a semi-private cruise on the Margarita with the Santorini Sailing Center. The Margarita was a beautiful, well-maintained catamaran in pristine condition. There are no more than 16 guests on the boat at a time. We were lucky and likely due to the start of off-season Mid-September, there were only 8 guests on our boat!
I loved how private our sunset cruise felt. There was so much room for everyone to relax around the boat. Our boat was not crowded at all especially compared to the other boats we encountered on the water. The guests were a mix of Americans and Europeans. It was nice to connect to other people traveling on the Island as well and hear about where they have been and what they have done on their trip.
The boat took us all around the island – Black Beach, Red Beach, White Beach, Port of Fira. The crew also went over some history and information about some of the places we saw. We did some snorkeling and saw fishes and swam in the hot springs of the Nea Kameni volcano. The hot springs is just slightly warm water and also super salty!
The food was prepped and grilled right on the boat. We had the option of grilled chicken or fish. Both were equally delicious. The fish tasted very fresh and I loved the grilled veggies and the greek salad that accompanied the meal. Right before sunset, our we had a fresh plate of fruits to enjoy.
The sunset in Santorini is beyond beautiful – definitely a must-d0 every night you are there! The boat had a perfect view of the caldera. It was so relaxing and peaceful to enjoy the sunset from the boat. We could also see all the people standing on top the Byzantine Castle Ruins trying to catch the sunset over Oia.
There is a shuttle pickup directly from your hotel, which is super convenient. The boat was so relaxing, the crew was so amazing and professional. They were so friendly and definitely made us feel so comfortable on the boat. It was seriously just the best experience of Santorini!
I HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in a relaxing sunset tour with beautiful views, good food, great staff, and fun excursion to see Santorini, Greece. The semi-private sunset cruise with the Santorini Sailing Center was perfect!

November 24, 2017 at 10:31 PMSailing a yacht is the best way to discover greek islands! If you liked it, now you have to try one week cruise around the other islands! Milos is also a very interesting volcanic spot
