Dalgona coffee is all the rage right now on Instagram and TikTok. This trend started in South Korea, but with everyone in quarantine mode, you can find EVERYONE making it on social media. I was intrigued after seeing a few friends post about so I decided to try this Instagram coffee for myself.

This dalgona coffee recipe is SUPER EASY! It only consists of three ingredients, which most people already have at home. If you have some extra time on your hands in the morning, this is the perfect time to try this viral whipped coffee trend.
Instant Coffee
You must use an instant coffee, one that does not have any creamer or sugar in it already. Any brand or roast would be fine. I prefer a light-medium roast. I used Nescafe Taster’s Choice House Blend single-serve packets. Each single-serve packet is 1 tablespoon so you will need two packets if you use this particular brand. If you end up loving it, you may want to go for the larger option.
Do NOT use brewed coffee or espresso or a 3-in-1 instant coffee mix. It must be an INSTANT black coffee only.
Mixer
You can hand-mix the coffee with a whisk or even shake the contents in a bottle! I would recommend using an electric hand mixer or even try a stand mixer if you are making several cups. With an electric hand mixer, it took me about 5 minutes to get it the stiff peaks consistency.
I tried using my milk frother, it works, but it isn’t strong enough to get it to the consistency I was looking for.
